This is better than any Christmas morning! No idea how ISTNC got them here so fast, or without letting us know they were out of customs. But I really don't care. OMG, I nearly shat myself when I saw it.

If all these people are getting their refreshes, where are all the pics?!?! so far just one dude has put some up, come on people! and reviews too!

they're probably all too busy playing around with them to bother with the serious and important task of reviewing/photographing!

For the people who ordered before Aug. 15 but didn't receive it yet, do you know when we should be expecting them? I know it should be before Sep. 14 but Rick or ISTNC have not responded to me. If anyone has more info please share. Thanks

That's very surprising that Rick has not responded to you. He's usually very prompt with responses to any questions through e-mail, LiveChat, or AIM. I'm guessing you already e-mailed him asking for your tracking number? Or if it even shipped. After all, it may not have even shipped or even been built yet. He's working quickly, but he's assembling the laptops based on the time that your ordered... he's simply going down the preorder list.

I have yet to receive mine, but it should be on my doorstep tomorrow!!!
BTW, I ordered mine on July 19th, if that puts things into perspective for you.

I don't know the numbers, but if you pre-ordered by the 14th of August, you will get your notebook within the next couple weeks or as soon as IST puts them together. If you preordered after that, you get to wait for the next shipment that comes in mid-September.

I've got the same HD as you on my Z70V. I've got no complaints and is very quiet. Are you sure the whirring sound is from the HD? maybe the battery?

Have you noticed how several resellers have taken down the Asus line? And how most of the resellers have gone suspiciously quiet on NBF? That should clue you in...

umm pinktri: the day you e-mailed him was a sunday. These are human beings, they have weekends off. I found this out when I sent an offline Live Chat message. Gwen replied promptly on Monday morning 10am. Give them a break, and i'm sure you got your e-mail back because its MONDAY now.

I know i'm anxious and excited...I don't know what excites me more, this laptop or the honeysuckle sweetness of college life...so just c h i l l...it will come.
