Well I just hooked up my wireless network and it connects greatly on my Asus, with a constant signal of 54 and I am about 50 feet away downstairs. I have the linksy G router which was a peice of cake to hook up. I have some questions that I just cant figure out..Any help or tips would be greatly appreicated.
1. I am using my Intel Pro Wireless software that came with the Asus, my question is what is the difference between available network profiles and available networks?
2. How do I know the security is set properly to match the router with the computer?
3. My Authentication is WPA Personal and the encryption is TKIP, is this good for security or should I configure this differently?
4. What programs can I use to keep me extra safe?
5. Any tips or links would be appreicated too....
