runnin on my 700m but lately have had a really annoying problem. On start up, even from a standby, i can see the tray icons loading, but my wireless icon and local area connection doesnt show up until about a minute later. I can't access the internet till these load up, and it used to not do this. I am more than sure it isnt spyware/adware but wondering what else could it be?

Windows will look through the list of your prefered networks and try connecting to it one by one. If the list is large, it'll take some time. Windows automatically adds a network to that list whenever you connect to anysite. You can either clear the list (from the advanced manu) so that only your network shows up on or move it up in the list. Oh..and never talk about the list.

grrr... i checked that already... its the only one on the list. Before it used to connect fine and fast. But now it takes a while before the icon even shows up, like a minute. Is there a way to change the preference in what to load first when you boot windows? Thanks for the help
