I bought it in late July, and so far, everything's great.
The dvd is region one by default, but you can modify that later on.
The screen is great. I havent tested the home teather output yet, because I don't have an HT system.
So far the tech support has been great. I haven't had any problems with the wireless card, but I did have a problem with my router, so bad that the linksys guys told me to call alienware cuz they thought I was having a hardware issue with my wireless card. so, I freaked out and called alienware, and in less than ten minutes, they fixed my problem. I thought I had a problem with the memory reader port, while using my sony memory stick. The computer didn't appear to recognize the stick, so I restarted the computer, and it recognized it. But, when I used the "safely remove hardware" option from the right bottom corner usb thingy icon, it didn't appear to work. It turned out, you have to go to my pc and right click the external hard-drive icon, and select eject. I never had a memory reader, so I didn't know that. So the tech support has been great, not that I really needed it...I was just too lazy to try to solve things on my own, and I figured I would just take advantage of the 90 day warranty. One thing that I find irritating is the FN key location - I'm used to having the control key in its place - but you get used to it.
The FN key has been the only real turn-off as far as I'm concerned, so I can say I'm 99.99% satisfied with my purchase so far. I spent a month poring over specs in my search to find the best 12 inch (or really small and light) notebook on the market - that includes sony vaios, dell700ms,panasonics, toughbooks, voodoos, and macs.
I went with alienware, cuz you definitely get the most bang for your buck. I dont really care about the good looks... but it does look cool. The system runs great, and thats all that matters. If you're looking for a small, light, fast notebook with good battery life (approx. 4 hours), and at a good price, this is your best pic.
Also i bought the backpack, but they didnt tell me that the free rebate shipping thing would not include it. so i ended up paying 13.50 extra for that.
The back pack is too big for the Sentia (you could fit four sentias inside it), and its kinda heavy, so I dont recommend buying it - Get a smaller backpack or case, something light and small.
Pros: It is just great, four speakers, sounds great, home theater out, 3 usbs, firewire and many other things.
Cons: Fn key, the video card its only 64mb (I can live with that)
