Because that is much more economical.

*Dell Kiosk representative*: 700m is a great deal at 900 dollars!
*Person willing to pay for X50*: Yes, but I want something as great as the X50, so I'm welling to pay 4900 dollars for it.
*Dell Kiosk representative*: .. you can buy 5 700m's and multitask like no one else in the world.

I am loving where this forum is going. I would love to have an X50, but alas, I am dead set on waiting for the new Dual-Core Turion 64's. Hopefully they will be socket 754 like the current Turions and MSI or some other ODM can come up with a model that looks something like this:

Mobile Turion 64 X2 (Dual-core) whatever speed is fast!!!
15.4" WSXGA+ widescreen
ATI X700 128 MB or nVidia 6600 Go 128 MB
Support for DDR2 400 Mhz (533 Mhz would be awesome)
SATA support
DVI-port, Bluetooth, Wireless A/B/G, etc.
No more than 1.2" thickness
Oh yeah, weight at right around 6.2 lbs or less
Battery life: at least 3.5 hours (maybe more who knows)

Now that would be a kick *** lappy. I would love if ASUS could fit all of that in the z70va case and shed a little weight or even if MSI could use their current 1029 model and possibly shave a little weight (maybe using carbon fiber would help, just an idea). Cross your fingers and say your prayers boys.
