Low audio while watching DVDs.

I have been having problem with low volume while watching DVDs. I use Windvd6.0 platinum-(for some reason, windvd7.0 was very buggy on my system so I switched back to 6.0). I had the speaker at full and with some movies like phantom of the opera, the audio is still very weak.

I was wondering if there's any tweak or programs that will enhance/volume up the speaker a bit?

Any tips appreciated.

This is one of the main reasons that I find CyberLink PowerDVD Deluxe 6.0 to be the best DVD player software on the market. There is the audio option under dynamic compression called "Noisy Environment" which boosts sound and is listed as recommended for notebook computers. This setting is great! My main and wav volumes are set at the standard half volume, and I still have loud DVD sound.

As far as other players, your only options really are to increase the master volume and wave volume to max.
