USB2 HDD problem when connected to I9300

I got a 250GB HDD connected to my I9300......as long as i reansfer relatively small files .....10MB its all ok......but if i try to transfer a ripped DVD file from 1-4+ GB it just taart copy and then tell it cant because of some kinda failure,,,,,,,snyone with the same problem....and any solution how to solve the problem

does it have external power? I have 80gb USB drives and they move any file size

maybe your larger drive will work to a fashion with internal usb power
