Will the athlon 64 be an upgrade possibility to current AW owners...if you zoom in on the pic and make out the specs to the left it states: SIS chipset and ati 9600...oddly familiar! So will our current SIS chipsets handle the amd64??? Anyone have any clue???

By the way for all the people that wanted a dual-channel Alienware: I think there is a pretty good chance that the A64 laptop will have it.

I highly doubt this thing is going to be available soon, if it was just shown off yesterday at a convention. My guess is 2q of 2004.

If they use the FX line perhaps...but to my knowledge the standard 64 line doesnt support dual-channel. It really kicks ass at handling single channel though (the throughput has rivaled most dual-chans)

Oh you might be right. Anyway, I kinda doubt that it will be an FX so if what you say is true then no dual-channel. Should be a sweet laptop either way though.
