infrared not working w/ my palm device

hey there all ... had to reformat my computer some couple of weeks ago and all is working fine now EXCEPT my IR.

I can't beam from my PDA to my 9860. Weird.

Especially since I CAN use my IR to hotsynch!!!

Strange. Any ideas?

... go in your Bios and switch the IRDA Port to "IRDA" not "fast IRDA".
Most of the PDA working only with the old IRDA Standart.

hi raffi ... thanks for the reply.

i will try that. i'm confused though as to why i can "hotsynch" but not "beam"

i would think that neither would work.

on my 5680 I had to turn something off, it would reconize my PDA was in range, but I couldn't do Shite.
