Forgot master password

I am boned. I am running panther and I forgot the master password I can't do shit. Noone else can log into their accounts.

Check the apple discussion boards, I am sure there might be a way to reset this.

Not if he uses filevault. If you do, then you are truely boned. That would be a "billion billion code" you'd have to crack. Damn near impossible

There is a way to rest your password by inserting your OS install disk and starting up the computer. But that will do you no good if you have filevault like solobaricsrock3 said.

just curious. why would other ppl need the master password for accessing their accounts? or rather why wouldn't your family also know the password if it's the same one for their accounts? have u logged in 3x and gotten the password hint option? then enter "forgot password". if u entered any hints when setting up security this may help.
