Too Much White on my LG WUXGA

Hello all, here I am with another question.

I have tried the color correction setting I have found using the serach function. The problem is I am slightly color blind so it is hard for me to find what the optimal color settings are.

This is the background I am currently using.

In the upper left quadrant there is suppose to be a myraid of text spattered about, however on my screen it's all white.

Please help me solve this problem.

Alternately, if you don't want to use a third party app, you could install the nVidia 80.40 drivers from laptopvideo2go. Then the Display Optimization Wizard will become available in the "TOOLS" options. Use that to calibrate your screen.

I have an LG WUXGA screen, too, and I think my Nvidia color settings are at default. I can see the text, very faintly, though (but I can tell that there's lots of stuff there), at the top left region. This is when the picture is only 800x600 pixels, though. If you stretch it to my full WUXGA screen, I think it *should* get even more visible.

"Sparkles" do get in the way, though

I only can see it on my WUXGA when I look from a bigger angle...

Here are 2 widescreen versions where the type is more apparent....

I use the closest to widescreen I can, on my screen all the text in the upper left quadrant (including the text in the middle) is almost white, and unreadable.

I tried to use the nvida tool, but unfortuntley I get hit by my mild colorblindness and I can not tell where the red matches up in the gamma correction. I am going to try the powerstrip idea later tonight.

Someone mentioned sparkles, how can I tell if my monitor has them, and by what process do I get it fixed (I bought complete care so I shouldn't have a problem with dell?)

What do you mean by "closest to widescreen"? Those walls I posted are the exact dimensions or your screen.

Yeah, I've got the same form of "colorblindness." The Powerstrip settings should work, though.... And forget about "sparkles." That was a mass-hallucination that has thankfully ebbed.
