Coffeeshark and I generally trade off on reviews. I happened to do the lion share of the legwork on this one with him adding invaluable insights in the running thread.

Also, it's not so much how long he's had his but rather, how many have come into and left his possession.

Haha, nice crossover to the "other hot lappy" and the associated "scandal". This thread is heating up!

BTW, I realized I still left a few gaps in my review so I will test this latest unit which was configured with 2GB of DDR400 (now substituted for DDR333 to test MSI's assertions that it will not downclock to 266MHz), MT-34, 60GB 7200RPM HD, etc. etc. I'll fill in those 3DMark2003 and 3DMark2005 scores (both stock clocked and overclocked) and address other questions that have cropped up in this thread and in the review thread itself.

I have updated the running review thread with some findings from some tests with various memory types/configurations. It might shed some light on people's questions about downclocking. Further testing is forthcoming with 1GB sticks of Kingston DDR333 (most likely on Thursday evening).

It's pretty nice. Cept it takes some getting used to, when your coming from a heavy desktop background like me. My thumb always touches the touchpad, and it drives me crazy. A little more practise will help me

The touchpad software has some cool software too. For example, if you touch the pad with three fingers that triggers right click, or touch with two fingers and u get middle click. It's all customizable of course in the software. It might not be new stuff, but it is for me.
