it should stay the same as power draw specs r the same as even the 4200rpm drives.my battery life hasn't changed one bit.
if u have the $ u may want to consider the seagate 120GB 5400 drive. it has transfer rates on par w/the 7200s due to the disks being denser than the 7200 ones.
