I just got this in yesturday and was puttsing around with it and im pretty impressed so far. The only problem is that the 3dmarks dont seem up to snuff. Im 2k1 i am getting a score of just over 10k with the stock settings. I tried to install the 5.8 catalyst's that were modded for mobility and it went down to 8k. I thought i would get a better score considering the specs:

2.0 ghz dothan
1 gig ddr2@ 266mhz
x700 64 meg

Am i missing something with this notebook? I set the speeds to max obviously to see what i would get and no change at all.

my 1694 has the same specs, but i havent run 3dmark 2k1....download 3dmark05 and run it to see what u get, i have the catalyst 5.8 and get around 1650 3dmarks on 3dmark05.

since its a synthetic benchmark, the 64mb x700 gets much lower than the 128mb x700 in other laptops (the 128mb usually gets around 2400). but in terms of gaming performance i think the cards are similar, specially with hypermemory

I forgot to check th obvious, the plug in on th wall was turned off so i guess it wasnt going to full speed. Just did a 2k1 run and got 168xx so im really really happy with that! Now i just gotta get some hyper memory going!

lol....well, hypermemory should automatically be enabled once u install the 5.8's. if u wanna check, goto click on the "details" button about ur computer on 3dmark05 and see how much memory it says ur vid card has
