First of all, it would be helpful for you to list the drivers you are currently using and the ones that you have already tried. If possible, the best thing is to do a screen shot or printout on driver set up. You should also list the games the problem occurs on and what the circumstances are when the problem happens.
Contrary to the thread listing, I wouldn't think this is a overheating problem as the second poster indicates he has a notebook cooler and it works. But you never know, so just in case, are the vents blocked in some way, is there air coming out of the vents, how hot is it? Are the fans working? Are they on all the time? Have you cleaned the cooling channels out lately? Just checking, as I said, I don't think this is an overheating problem though it sounds like it could be.
By your post, I assume this is primarily a video driver issue, as that's what seems to be the problem, you don't mention other symptoms like sound going out or ports not working.
As far as I know, the best (in terms of stability and overall performance, though not necessarily the best performance for any particular program, at the drivers on the SAGER page. Those have been tested and retested and are pretty much iron clad. Not perfect mind you but like I said, the best overall. You certainly shouldn't have problems like you are reporting unless there is something funky with the game or your drivers are goofy.
Hope someone can figure it out for you. I am not a driver man just trying to be helpful by telling you what you will need to provide so someone can help you .
