Echo Indigo Audio and 5680 Problems

Thread Starter
I have seen another posting from someone who had the 5680 and an Echo Indigo card. Both the 6.09 and 6.10 drivers did not work with the echo card. When it plays back audio, I get a high pitch garbled sound out of my speakers. I know it's not the card because it works on another laptop of mine. Also, when I played Call of Duty with the card in the slot, it was really slow.

Has anybody else experienced these problems and fixed it? I have all of the latest drivers included the latest Realtek audio drivers from Realtek. I'm wondering if it is some sort of driver conflict, possibly with the motherboard or graphics card. Also, I'm wondering if the card slot is not shielded and causing interference since the processor is right next to it.

I have been emailing Sager, and they want me to send back the computer with the card. I'd rather send the card back and keep the computer since it is working flawlessly.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I ended up sending back the Indigo for a full refund, and bought a Creative Extigy MP3+ instead. I've been using it while in Arecibo, PR, and am quite happy with it. Great sound, no slowdowns at all.
