FedEx either hires losers or thieves

I AM PISSED!!!!!!!!

According to FedEx, today was to be the day that I received my new AW Area 51m-7700. I was checking the tracking site hourly with almost “Christmas Eve-like” anticipation. So imagine the gut wrenching shock that crashed over me when I checked again, a little after 4pm local time, only to find that FedEx says they have already delivered it.

SAY WHAT?????

I purposely cleared my schedule so that I could be here ALL DAY!!! I never even saw a FedEx truck enter into our neighborhood. So I called FedEx. The rep said the same thing that I am reading on the tracking site…she was no help. It took a couple of times for her to understand that even if they showed that it was delivered….that it WAS NOT DELIVERED TO ME AT MY ADDRESS and after viewing the signature…..NOT ME WHO SIGNED (stole) IT.

How can I adequately convey how completely PISSED and ANGRY I am?

Even if they are able to track down what happened, I WILL NOT ACCEPT DELIVERY. Who knows what things the booger eatin’ loser who took my machine might have done to it? What a let down.

So either the driver dropped it at the wrong address, or he stole it himself.

FEDEX….YOU SUCK!

I have included a picture of the signature used by the recipient…does anyone know if this constitutes fraud, theft or any other felony. I wish I could just smash the guy’s hands with a hammer…then he’d have no need for my computer.

I hope I can sleep tonight.

I would definitely be contacting the locals as well as letting FedEx & Alienware know that you are informing the police. Then you can let those folks worry about it. The driver will remember delivering some big assed box with ALIENWARE written on it, or he'll be out of a job, bonded status revoked, and you'll have a new computer coming your way.
Here's to wishing you the best of luck!

Omg

I'm so sorry about that mang. FedEX botched my delivery too but only by not delivering it and sitting on their butts while it patiently waited in their warehouse to be delivered to my house and i finally had to call and track down the package myself and when i found it I had to go pick the thing up myself so i could get it off their greasy hands. I hope you get everything worked out. Alienware is doing a great job putting these beautiful things together, but FedEx is a stain on an otherwise perfect experience.

FedEx owes you a computer, an explanation, and an apology.

dam, that shit gotta hurt, get cops on it, dont just let fedex sort it out or the perp will go free....

UPS is just as bad. Theft, is always present with this type of equipment.
I hope you get it worked out.

That sooo sucks wallmax, hope you get this shit staight....

damn that sucks time for a call to the cops and some very annoyed calls to fedex, just keep on it until it is either found or they do something else... theft is a crime...

That is bad news. I'm sure FedEx will have this sort of thing insured. Obviously someone has screwed up at FedEx. Definately inform them that you will be filing a complaint with the police. And inform Alienware. And also speak to the Fed Ex manager, not just the person on the phone who picks up. When one of my packages was split from the other one, I rang Fed Ex straight away and was put through to the Manager, she sorted it out and rang back the same day. Best of luck.

All Alienware shipments are insured. You'll get your machine eventually, but what a disappointment...

I'd call AW and follow up with FedEx.

Thanks for the moral support

I called FedEx immediately. The woman wasn’t much help. She kept insisting that the packages had been delivered to my address. After a couple of minutes and some slow, clear and calm words I was able to clue her in that I was STANDING IN MY FRONT DOORWAY AND THAT NO FEDEX TRUCK HAD EVEN ENTERED OUR SUBDIVISION ALL DAMN DAY!!!!! (My home faces the only entrance to the subdivision and I was waiting with my camera to capture the whole delivery event…so I KNOW that no FedEx deliveries came into this neighborhood yesterday. I know I know…I’m a bit of a freak). Then her tune changes to “Oh my gosh.” A bunch of times. I asked her to record the conversation as I was about to get detailed. I told her that if their records show that they delivered MY STUFF to my address then the first place to look would be the driver.

Since no delivery was made, why would he enter that it had? I also told her that if they in fact tracked down my stuff, all spread out in some loser’s filth hole that I wouldn’t accept it. It just kills me to think that some thievin’ bastard has his hands on my property. He’s probably saying to himself, “Lookie what I got here…..got me one of those fancy com-put-ers that you can take with you?”

So anyways, she said that she would “look into this” and call me back.

I then called AW and spoke with their tech support (an eastern euro accent – very sincere) since their customer service was closed for the weekend. After explaining what happened he did say that they insure all their systems and that this was a FedEx issue. Fair enough.

2 hours go by and no call from FedEx. So I call them back. This time I get a man named Eric. I explain the entire issue again and he starts by saying that I have to call AW……now is not the time to start trying to play the run around with me….seriously. So I went off on this guy!!!

“On high dollar items requiring a signature, your drivers don’t demand to see valid photo ID?” So any Joe Blow can sign for anything…no questions asked. He kept insisting that Alienware would have to initiate some kind of incident report. I told him that the bottom line is that FedEx dropped the ball and that it amounts to fraud / theft and that since it crossed state lines that I would be contacting the FBI as well as local police.

I told him the same stance I had about accepting opened or used merchandise if they in fact retrieved my machine. He said that I would have to contact their delivery department which was only open Tue thru Sat. Thanks for nothing.

So I called back to AW tech support. This time I spoke a woman, Liana or Ilana (sounded cute – also e. euro accent) I told her the entire story and had her update the latest info on my account. I told her that FedEx said they needed AW to start an incident report.

It was then that I once again became angered. I realized that rather than enjoying my new machine, I was playing middle man to FedEx and taking a crash course in criminal investigation.

I told the nice young lady that I knew that none of this mess was AW’s fault and that I just wanted to get it resolved ASAP. She said that AW customer service would be open Monday so I could call them at that time.

Today. O dark thirty, I compiled screen captures of this fiasco and fired off an email to my local branch of the FBI. Since they prosecute crimes that involve interstate commerce, I hope they get involved.

***Thanks to everyone for your support and words of encouragement. My full review of an Area 51m-7700 will be delayed for a bit, but as far as my FedEx review, in every large entity you have those who believe theft is acceptable. FedEx as a company is represented by its individual employees. Perceptions are often perceived as reality as unfair as that may be…and my perception of FedEx is not good. In all business, customer service MUST BE # 1. It’s not with them. I’m glad it was only my new machine he took (replaceable) and not something really important (wow can’t believe I’ve calmed down this much).***

dude, i know this shit hurting and teh nub who stoled joo pc deserves to get his teeth and his balls booted, but i just read your post and i know its not a laughing matter but, i just had to burst out laughing when you said = “Lookie what I got here…..got me one of those fancy com-put-ers that you can take with you?”
its just the picture of the redneck ive got in my head with goofy teeth saying that...
but saying that, stealing a pc = hope he gets jailed, beating up and his stay in jail i hope he gets his lil bony ass butt fuxed every single night til he got no control of his bowel movements for life = PAYBACK, and you get a new machine from AW and compensation from fledex, cuz teh driver fled with joo pc, i know when i was waiting on mine, that day my hearing turned uber leet and i could hear diesel engines from about 5 miles away, so i believe ya that if you say no van turned up at your house, i really believe that, cuz i cud hear my delivery van long before i saw it....

Wallmax, man I'm sorry to hear that and sorry you have to go through all this headache of contacting FedEx, AW, FBI, and la policia. You'll get a lappy, just may take much longer than expected.

As much as I love seeing a big nice black box with Alienware High Performance Machines printed all over it, it attracts a lot of attention and anyone with computer knowledge knows they are high dollar.

I had this happen to me on a UPS shipment once. Turns out the driver delieverd to the next street over. But, yes, they made me contact the company that shipped it first to start an investigation. I got the package a few days later, luckily it had never been opened.

Funny, I have problems with UPS but FedEx has never let me down. I hope everything works out for you so you can enjoy your new AW.

If you used a Charge Card to pay for it I would contact the credit company and put a HOLD on payment.

Same thing happened with my mother when she sent easter dresses she had made to my nieces and they didn't show up. Then 2 weeks later they "magically" appeared of course too late for easter.

I accualy have a very good friend whos father is a FedEx driver. I wouldnt consider him stupid, he is quite smart, and is living a very good life style.

They're just contractors...

FedEx simply hires CONTRACTORS and farms out its delivery service so you might get a good one or you might get a meth-addicted moron who can't keep an accurate account of his own toes! I'd cancel my order if I were you and focus on getting your money back, minus the dreaded, *gasp* restocking fee. Because whatever they send you, at this point, will always be suspect in your mind. Don't get me wrong, I am apeshit about Alienware (the rigs and the company) but I've heard of refurb jobs being sent out in such circumstances. And judging by your well-written rant, you are no dumbass and you'll probably figure out that you got conned if they try to send you a refurb and then your problems will commence in earnest... Or you might get your original computer that has been around the block so many times that it knows all the hookers by name, if you know what I mean! Why would you want a system that a complete stranger screwed with...? That is not part of the 200 point inspection process! Cancel your order and start over...

Wait a couple more days... I had about 3k in computer parts shipped to me a while back and it said they had delivered it to some town in GA (I'm in CA), and i got the stuff 2 days later unopened. The Fedex tracking isn't very reliable...

wow that truly sucks man

I hate thiefs, I'm ok with robbers(at least you know what happened to something you lost and "who" took it), but thiefs I truly hate, I think they do a very good thing in Arabia, they cut thief's hands off if they catch em.
