Hello everyone

I 'm wondering if anyone of you has a B series Vaio notebook. I'm trying to find a review but nothing special so far. To be more specific I'm looking for the "VGN-B3VP".

I've heard the Vaio's encounter heat, noise and problems with their wireless. Any help?

Thank you all!

Heat and noise(both of which are not that bad, its not like a dtr or something). only happens on the S series because sony decide to put everything they could fit into a the FS series inside of the S (and god bless them for it) as for wireless i have yet to meet a wireless problem on my S, its actually the other way around, its been great.

and as for the B, any reason? I have not read may good reviews about it, why not am IBM or better yet a toshiba M3 with GF6 6600, they are wonderful units.

I had a look at the IBM's. Really great machines but their screen resolution almost sucks, unless you buy a relatively more expensive model, and I'm not willing to pay all the extra money required to buy an IBM with a good screen. Actually I was between a Sony Vaio and the "switch", a 14'' screen iBook. I considered the B3VP just for the final cost. Can you tell me what "bad" things were written about the B series?

Thanks anyway!

sure, bascially battery life was 3hr or less, poor video card, no frillls, fairly large for whats under the hood.

and toshiba M3 has a high res screen option 1280x1024
