Well, the output line with "unknown device 038a" in it indicates you have the same model as "askel" posted about at that alsa bug page I linked to earlier, I'd guess.
You might want to try the latest alsa release candidate for 1.0.10 or the cvs version, because there seem to be a lot of fixes for "ALC880" related things, which I think is what you've got (at least the z71v model seems to go under ALC880 - quite where ALC880 comes from I've no idea, though Realtek refer to that in their readme).
