I just tried the latest Omega's on my I8600 and went back to the latest Dell ones myself.

There is a product called "Driver Cleaner", you can find links from omegadrivers.net. Uninstall your drivers, reboot, do NOT detect new hardware, then run driver cleaner--- does a very good job of getting all the junk out.

I've been using Omega Drivers the entire time I have had my i6000 and I score 1851 in 3DMark05 - they are nothing if not completely stable for me. I'm not sure what kind of problems that you all have, but Omega drivers are the best out there. There's only one guy who beats my 3DMark05 score, and that's irev210...and he uses Omega drivers too.

wonka,

I knew you would show up on this thread.

Congratulations on your 3D score.

But like somms said, I'll stay with ATI drivers.
No disrespect intended.
My WUXGA and my apps don't like omega drivers, and neither do I.
I have omega on one of my desktops, they work OK, nothing to brag compared with ATI drivers.
I don't do 3D apps and I don't play games btw.

Everyone seems to to act like Omega makes the drivers from the ground up, and that is not the case. Omega drivers are just tweaked ATI Catalyst drivers - it uses the same driver base, and just adjusts a few things for better performance. As far as stability goes, the only time I ever crashed the Omega drivers was when I was overclocking 50%+ higher then stock. But for the entire life of the laptop thus far, I have had no stability problems with Omega's drivers.

i had a few probs with the omega... so went to the NGO drivers.. and had a few other problems! but least my displayed turned off when the lid closed!

I've stuck with the NGO... may not be as stable as the Dell drivers but it had better performance and i think its a nice compromise between performance and stability.
