I'm going to WSU (WA State U) and I take my 9300 to all but two of my classes (I'm a freshman). The two classes I don't take it to are math (obviously) and fine arts (we had to buy a class packet type thing with half the notes in it and the other half left blank for us to fill out.) My battery life is +/- 2 hours with a 6 cell battery.
I wouldn't say it's grabbed alot of attention, but people inclined enough to comment always say it's a nice laptop. I think it's just cause it's so farking huge. Penis envy
I'm a total prep too, I couldn't even begin to get away with a Targus, Dell or similarly branded backpack (that yell STEAL ME anyway). So I went to Nautica and lo and behold they make a messenger bag that has a padded compartment for a 17" laptop
it was like $20, and is big enough to hold any textbooks I want, since all my classes aren't in a row. Doesn't show any signs of falling apart either
