Standard I6000 Hard Drive Speed?

Thread Starter
I ordered a 6000 tonight and I configured it with a 80 gig hard drive. I was wondering if the 6000's com standard with 5400 speed drives or if there is a chance I will end up with a crap 4200 speed? I sure hope not..

Anyone?

I highly doubt there are any 80GB 4200RPM drives for laptops.
I might be mistaken.

Well, my friend recently ordered i6000 series and 80GB came with 5400rpm 8mb cache. So don't worry. HDD is Fujitsu, which is pretty quite and suppose to battery power friendly.

Yeah the old 80GB are 4200 rpm... in my old i5100 it came with that. The newer 80GB are now 5400 or 7200 - although you do have to specify the 7200 to get it, and pay the premium for it!

I found a huge difference going from my 80GB 5400 to my 100GB 7200... made a world of difference in loading apps.
