replacing a laptop hard drive

since the hard drive on my sager 4780 shit the bed (the 2nd one in less than 2 years) i need to buy another one. (the first was replaced for free).

My question is:
Are all laptop hard drives standard? in other words, can i get just about any ATA 2.5" harddrive and it will work, or are they manufacturer specific?

Any 2.5" ATA HD will work in your laptop.
