OT: Best Wireless Mouse

OK, who here has a wireless mouse? Are you happy with it? Are some better than others.. and how about the wireless Microsoft mice?

I am looking at getting one and cleaning up some of the wired clutter on my desk. Not sure which one to go with though

Well, I got the microsoft notebook wireless mouse and it works just fine for surfing, dunno if it'd be the best if you're using it as a desk/gamming mouse.

I actually recently used a Microsoft Wireless Explorer until recently, and I hated it... it was very slow, and the delay (from when you move it to when it registers) was very, very noticable. I even played GTA: SA with it, and it wasn't too bad--but it made aiming relatively harder since you had to start thinking a half second in advance of where you wanted your pointer to go.

Right now, I'm actively using the MX1000, and its literally so sensitive I can't even tell its a wireless mouse... in fact, its more accurate than my wired optical mice, probably due to the fact that its a laser instead of a normal light. Either way, the first day I plugged it in, I thought it was TOO sensitive. Fortunately, adjusting pointer speed and acceleration made it much better. Plus, I haven't charged it in 2 days, and its still got a full battery--and this is with decent usage (although not gaming quite yet).

I bought an MS wireless mouse and I really liked it, apart from gaming - the scroll wheel unlike older mice scrolls smoothly rather than having clicks so you couldn't use the wheel to select weapons as it would keep going past the weapon I wanted.

Right now I'm using a good old MS wired intellimouse while I decide on another wireless one, I like the MX900 as it works with internal bluetooth.

I have the Microsoft Intellimouse 2.0. It's awesome and battery life is great. Not sure how good it would be fore notebooks since the receiver is corded. I have thought about getting the MS notebook mouse for my 600m. Never had a problem with any of my Microsoft mice.

Logitech V200 for my 700m to use on the couch or mobile use.
Logitech MX 1000 is what I use for my desktop machine.

Both are great and have good optical sensors.

Bluetooth MS IntelliMouse, more precise than Dell corded optical and is smooth, fast and very comfortable to use. Plug'n Play install without included software, working great from ALPS Drivers and selected options. Four weeks tomorrow (24/7) on included pair of AA Energizers

64MB ATI Video
Intel 2200 B/G"
If you are not getting Bluetooth, I would go MX1000. Too bad "Wireless" mice don't work through Intel 2200 B/G

With Bluetooth, preferred choice would be Bluetooth MX900 or MS Intellimouse, I prefer the feel of the Microsoft, but if you are left-handed, you might prefer the MX900

What about the Logitech G7?

It looks pretty good.

If you have bluetooth built into your laptop, I highly recommend the Logitech MX900. There's absolutely no delay, it has a very good sensor, and the best part is that it works straight with your computer, no dongles needed.

If it's for a laptop and you'll be taking it with you I'd recommend the Bluetake BT510 which I got about a month ago. Decent size, on/off button, scroll wheel, decent battery life, ability to power it from usb.

If it's for a desktop or for use with the laptop just at home I would suggest the logitech bluetooth wireless or their new laser RF wireless (not sure on model) but have heard good things from friends. Plus the bluetooth one I believe has a recharging dock.

I have the MS Standar wireless optical mouse and it does its job fine hehehe... I'm only worried about battery life (i've never used a wireless mouse before) Does this thing ever goes off?
Microsoft advertises six months, I have only just past the first month on my Bluetooth version. If it turns out to be less than six weeks, I have extra NiMH AA's to use and recharge

It has a 'sleep-mode' that is automatic, if the mouse is not moved for a period of time, this is when you will notice about a one second delay on first move (or click) after it has not moved for a while.

For travel purposes, I fashioned a 'case' using some of the original packaging, some foam sheet and velcro to hold it stationary while packed. Others remove the batteries.

Saw in the new Logitech G7 wireless Laser Gaming Mouse that they list 'sleep-mode' as "Disabled" but know of no way to do that with the MS.
