Hi, I am about to buy a dell I9300. Here are the specs:

-Pentium M 2.0 Ghz (533 Mhz FSB/2MB Cache)
-2 GB DDR2 (From Dell, NO memory stick modding for me, no time)
-60 GB 5400 RPM
-NVidia Geforce 6800 256 MB
-Bloatware

Would this run these games and at what settings?

Battlefield 2

Half Life 2

CS Source

F.E.A.R

SIms 2

You should be able to run all those without problems. BF2 and FEAR may run better slightly below high settings. You DO want performance. Get 256mb ram from dell and at the same time buy the 2G update from Crucial or Newegg. Crucial will ship very fast and I think its 2 or 3 day fedex and no worries able having to RMA due to bad modules. Newegg if you want cheaper modules but with a higher chance of having to RMA a bad module. Saying you dont have time is moot since it'll arrive before your laptop and it takes 1 minute to install. If you like wasting your hard earned cash get it from Dell.

Oh yes , with no trouble at all.

I think you're insane to buy the 2gb Ram from Dell at that extreme markup.

You will be able to run those fine with no problem. OC the card for best performance, it's definitely underclocked at factory settings.

It might be slow, but if you remove the bloatware, it'll speed up

2GB from Dell - ARE YOU NUTS? You can save $600 by purchasing the memory from Newegg.com. The installation takes literally TWO minutes!

And you need to either format the computer or uninstall the bloatware...

I say format and no not get the 2GB from Dell. Memory is easy to take out/install. Take out 2 screws, pop off cover, pop out/in memory.

you have time to play those 5 games, but no time to switch out memory...I'd say don't buy one at all if thats your rational for the situation!

just wanted to add that the 1 gig of ram to 2gigs is 210 more. But he probably has the 40% off coupon like me so 126 for a 1 gig stick of ram is not as crazy as people are making it
