I thought it was stupid but I actually want one now. It would really rock if the keyboard is detachable and has wireless capability.
Talk about a truely dvd worthy screen, but WUXGA would be nicer still and quite practical at that size too.
Haha, I would hate to have one of those. That is just too big. I'm one of those people that considers 15.4" the limit.
Agreed! Great for LAN gaming conventions instead of bringing your tower and screen, but not if you want an all-purpose-in-one notebook design. BTW I happen to think 15.4" is great for gaming already! If I were to take a notebook to a LAN party I'd rather bring a 15.4" notebook.
Interestingly, they mention it will weigh as little as the 17" Samsung M40, namely 2.99kg... As for the whole notebook issue, it IS a notebook by form factor and weight, although not by size. It does however offer more mobility than any SFF desktop computer, so I'm sure that anyone looking for SFF computers, or any other desktops for that matter, might consider this instead...
It's not even about weight for me. I just have a problem with the actual size, or the space it takes up. Of course, that bigger laptops weigh more just adds to the reason I wouldn't get one. That is, of course, unless I had money to waste. I have to admit, it would be pretty cool to have an XPS Gen 2 to just use at home. I would have to have something smaller to carry around, too.
WOW. That is one huge laptop. I agree, though, I think that 15.4" WSXGA+ is the limit for me. Anything else, and it just isn't practical. You know what would own though? Something the size of a Sony T370P, but with a Turion and a 7800Go. C'mon, who's with me?
