The SIS chipset vs the Intel chipset

About the 4780:

"These systems use the SIS chipset vs the Intel chipset the 5680, 8890, and the 8790 will be using."

Can anyone explain the implications of this? Is there any significant differences between the two of these?

The main difference is that the intel supports Dual Channel RAM while the SIS only supports Single Channel RAM. Dual Channel PC3200 400Mz RAM is far superior to Single Channel PC3200 400Mz RAM.
I am not to much of a techy so thats all it got for ya!
