I had recently re-installed windows XP pro SP2 corprate and then went to the Toshiba website to download all the bells and whistles, ok, just what I needed.

Anyway, at first I thought it was zonelabs, so I un-installed as well as tried to disable....same thing, it takes forever for windows to load all the items on the task bar.

The only thing I think it could be was the installation of the toshiba ACPI which apparently was supposed to be installed first? I installed it 4th or 5th.

Also tried deleting many items from regedit (after backing up of course) in the >user>run in regedit, still takes over 1 minute to load.

The system does shut down fast though.

No idea what it could be, wondering if there is someway to change the order of boot-up items or to see what is causing the lag. Usually I am on top of these things but had installed several large applications before noticing this.

There also use to be a windows XP utility, but I know it no longer is supported by windows.

thanks for the help
