$2,598 ??????????

I got Acer 1692 Wlmi in Spain for 1190 € (in june) and it seems that the only difference is graphic card (mine has 64 MB instead of 256MB), but that is too expensive though.

2598.00 Singapore Dollars = 1239.66 Euro
From the conversion done @ XE.net thats before the ram upgrade though

1182.40 Euro + 163.20 Euro (2x 1GB DDR2) = 1345.60

Thats how much I paid for the unit, gotten it during an IT fair that ends tomorrow

256MB on an X700 GPU, eh? That's a marketing gimmick if I ever saw one. I hate shit like that.

For those of you who don't know, the X700 isn't fast enough to take advantage of the extra 128MB.

Then again, for $1345, who cares really?

Nice threadcrap.

For those of you who don't know, zaphod78 just proved he is one of "those who don't know". Here is a link for zaphod to educate himself. The article is a tad old since it compares 64MB vs 128MB, but the information is still accurate for 128MB vs 256MB.

Nice purchase Tekman! While the rest of us 128MB X700 users are turning down the texture detail to "medium" (to get rid of stuttering in new games), you'll be flying along in high res/high detail.

So far so good on the system
Close to 2 weeks or so with it now. Tested out BF2 under high settings was running pretty smooth for me.
