V2312 External Shell Replacement

Hey,

I just purchased a presario V2312 notebook and I hate the black plastic external shell. Half of it is silver (carbon) which I really like, and the outside top half is plastic with black coloring... I don't think you can customize these types of things..

Any suggestions! I was thinking of taking it to my buddies body shop and having him paint it (but I don't know if this will work since it is plastic)...

You can use paint that they sell in autoparts stores for painting vinyl interiors and plastic parts. I have used Dupli-Color Vinyl and Fabric color with much success, and it comes in many colors. You have to let it set for a couple of days in order to prevent it from peeling and scratching easily and you must allow each really thin coat to dry completely before applying a new coat. I dont recommend That Krylon Fussion they advertise. That stuff really sucks it takes forever to dry, it always feels tacky, and it rubs off really easily.
