Unpainted 5680 with cool wristpad inlay

My Sager is nicknamed "The Stove" because it is big, bulky, and produces enough heat to cook a meal for a family of five. I love it.

As you can probably tell, I'm hoping to get an iPod for christmas.

Here's a low res version of the wristpad image:

The Wide Angle screen is so good looking. Thes pictures can't even come close to doing it justice.

The blue LED on the external hard drive is bright enough that I have to cover it or the flashing keeps me from getting to sleep.

Nice name Who did "The Stove" picture? You, or did you send it in somewhere to get it done?

I did it in Photoshop.

You think a 56xx is big and bulky? 88xx Owners LAUGH at your premature analysis! HAHAHAA

Well, it's not bad, but the REAL beasts are the 88xx series! Yeah, man!

Jeez, I really need to learn how to use photoshop.

All I know how to do is crop pictures and add text! I don't think I need a 650 dollar program to do that

Nice job Neb'! As far as we 88xx owners are concerned, size DOES matter!

Is that just a decal? How did you get it on there?
Ok, I must just be forumsearch impaired. I've searched all over for the high-res template, and I cannot find it anywhere. Who has it? What thread is it in?
I would like to know too. Also, how would I get the decal or whatever it is on there?

Sticky/decal paper?

Are you pleased with your external hard drive? What brand, model, capacity, etc. is it?

Even the mighty 88xx is puny compared to the Acer Aspire 1700 series. The 88xx weigh around 12 pounds, give or take, the Acer 1700s weigh in the 7-8 kilo range, which comes to 17 pounds or so – half-again the weight of an 88xx.

Now, that's big and bulky!

So are you going to tell us how you did it?

Applied it to the computer, that is... not how you drew it.

We're anxiously awaiting your explanation!

the post with the template is here: http://notebookforums.com/showpost.p...98&postcount=1 but it isn't too accurate

you just use legal paper for the inlay, cut it out, remove the wrist rest, and then snap the wrist rest back on with the paper inlay underneath it.
