My D610 problem. Mic doesn't working, I cannot record...help

I try to find out how to record and talk with friend by Yahoo voice but i failed, please help me how to setup..

What exactly is the problem? I hope you realize that the D610 doesn't have a built-in mic, right? So you'll need to use an external mic, and make sure the volume settings are set appropriately.

Thank you very much for your reply. I do not know that Dell610 doesn't have built-in mic. Ok, if so, I have to use the external mic.

I wonder Why Dell doesn't intergrate mic for D610? I also have D600 and D600 have built-in mic.

I was a little disappointed also, but I really have yet to have a need to use one. My father has a 600m and I believe that one has an internal mic so I'm sure what the thinking was to not include it on here...probably 'cause it's their business line and probably not a huge need for a builtin mic for that segment.

Dell hasn't put the mic on any of the new Inspiron models. 9200/9200/XPS2/6000/700m none of them have the internal mic. Probably for some sort of cost reduction.
