Z70Va refresh = Z70V+X700+Bluetooth? Plz help me decide.

Hi guys!

I'm not a big gamer but I love Z70V/Z70Va's superb WSXGA+ display. I'm just wondering if Z70Va is identical to Z70V, except X700/128MB and built-in Bluetooth?

If everything is the same except X700 and BT, is it worth the extra dollars to get Z70Va for a non-gamer like me?

I'm pretty sure they're the only differences. The screen might be slightly different.

If you don't game and you don't need bluetooth, you don't need the refresh.

If you're a non-gamer... it's not worth getting the x700. The x600 will be JUST fine (actually Intel Graphics are fine for a non-gamer... but the Z70V doesn't have that option )

Then again, if you're not constrained by your budget, the more powerful video card will help extend the useful life of your notebook and give you the added oomph that you may need if your usage requirements change in the future. If you can afford it, get the most powerful machine that you can and increase your options for the future. Just my silly opinion.

Plus, its not THAT much more expensive than the Z70V, so the additional price is really a good deal.

One thing I should note is that even if you are a gamer, a Z70V is going to get you a loooong way. Half-Life 2 runs in the 70s at 1200xsomething, with pretty high quality settings. Doom 3 at medium runs in the 40s at 800x600.

You're not going to get blistering frame rates on the newest games, but the x600 is a respectable card.
