That's good news if true...

i checked out the video memory spec in 2 bestbuy locations, and they both state 128. moreover, the system info inidcated system ram at 1 gig. from my personal experience, if a portion of system ram is being used by video (aka hypermemory), the system info would display the leftover amount, not the total. this makes me believe that the manufacturer's sticker is wrong. i got 2 conflicting opinions on the matter from the geeksquad. one said that hypermemory is permanently enabled in bios, thus resulting in 128 vram. the other geeksquad location stated that the sticker is incorrect, as x600 are not manufactured with 64 megs of vram.

no HyperMemory doesnt work like that. it only grabs from system ram when needed, not lock it off.

Basically, the card itself addresses up to 128MB RAM. If needed, the GPU can allocate up to 64MB additional RAM from system RAM. The difference is that unlike integrated video, the memory is pulled as needed, meaning that in regular day-to-day applications, the full 1GB is available for programs. The reason it is listed as a 128MB card is because ATI uses the maximum allocated memory in its identification routines.
