My friend asked me to format his fujitsu c1080. After installing windows xp pro, all drivers and so everything is working exept usb ports. I was searching but can't find any solution for it. Anything I plug in isn't working. Please help.

you may have to load the drivers (either the USB drivers or the chipset drivers) to enable the USB function.

I installed windows xp ppro sp2. Doesn't it have already usb support. I can see in device maanager some usb controlers and so. I installed all drivers from fujitsu support page and still nothing. It's strange because I don't see usb in bios (also updated bios).

Ok, try this (in order):

- (Format)
- Install XP Pro without service packs
- Install Service Pack 1 (downloadable from the MS website, known as a network version)
- Install Service Pack 2 (also downloadable)
- Install Fujitsu drivers

If that does not work, then there must be a hardware problem. This from my experience, is the way to get a fully working system. Any other order (such as installing the drivers and then service packs) could cause problems.
