Reformating

Hi guys well i finally decided it was time to reformat my lappy that got last week the thign is i like some of the programs loaded by dell, i dont have the backup disk(which i regret not getting) and want to know if ther is anyway to keep some of the program dell provided Thanks.

I would try to get hold of the original cd's (os, drivers, applications).

My cd's should be arriving tomorrow.

I just called techsupport and told them that:

- I screwed up the dell recovery partition with partition magic
- Windows would no longer go pass the bootscreen, ergo I wasn't able to burn a recovery cd myself

The guy on the phone said he would send me an original xp cd. He also agreed to put in some other cd's with drivers and applications (powerdvd, burning software, ...)
