I was wondering how to completely delete an instance of linux from my computer. I know it resized one of my partitions in Windows but no other partitions show up in My Computer. What is the best way to go about this?

Right click on My Computer go to Manage

Click on Disk Management

You should see 1 or more partions with no labels and squiggly lines through it.

Then you can format the partion as NTFS or Fat32

Make sure you back up before you do any of this

If you want to merge the partion back within your windose partion
go buy Partion Magic.

Thanks. That works for getting rid of the linux operating system but I still have the grub boot loader left over. How do I get rid of that?

For XP Pro, boot off the install cd and choose the "recovery" option at the menu it gives you. It should then give you a recovery console that looks like the command prompt in windows. Run these two commands and reboot:

fixboot
fixmbr
