The HP zd8000 pentium 4 prescott processor runs very very hott~, I dont understand your fascination with the pricey D810, the 9300 is a much better choice than either the hp or the d810. I have used all the dell models and this HP unit.

D810 owns

9300 is big and ugly so get the D810 unless you are a big gamer

How will the x600 take BF2?

D810, without a doubt. It's a business class notebook, so the build quality will be better than most other systems.

Wait, the zd8000 has a P4? Well, forget the build quality. You should get the D810 just based on the P-M alone.

Thanks guys. I am now deciding between 9300 and D810.D810= nice size, ok graphics
9300=pretty big size,awesome gfx
Help Please

If those are your final choices, then it comes down to this: do you want a big screen with great gaming, or do you want a smaller, compact screen with great build quality? If it was me, I would choose the i9300. Keep in mind, though, that there really is no wrong decision. As long as you are happy with the laptop and it does what you need (as I believe both of these systems will), then that's all that matters.

UT2004 and FarCry play excellent here

For me, personally, I would rather have the smaller size, but that's just me. I know some people would rather have the gaming power.

DimGR, at which settings do you run UT2004 and FarCry? Have you tried BF2 yet?

Compared to your half an inch less in depth, an inch less in width uglier D810??

Playing Doom3 on a D810 that cost you alot of money......dum da dumb dumb
Playing Doom3 on a 9300 that cost you much less than a D810 and plays with all the eye candy on with room to spare........priceless.

Just kidding, the D810 isnt ugly, unless you are trying to play doom3 on its x600 card that is. As ive said before, the latitudes are not multimedia machines, they are business machines and as such dont perform well in the multimedia consumer arena. They are designed for the business world where parallel ports are still used for printers and one doesnt watch dvd's all day or play games and still uses serial ports.
