Hello and welcome to last month

Hello and thanks for letting me know.

Ordered a mx3000 or w/e it's called, laser mouse and wireless desktop from buy.com 4 months ago. 4 months of their screwups later, no gear, no refund...think I'll demand an upgrade!

I ordered a MX3100 combo from Dell about a month ago for $68AR. I love the MX1000. I've also has an MX510 and MX518. I dont really like looks of the new Logitech mice coming out. They may have an upgrade in performance but to me they've been downgraded in looks. The new G7 looks like the girls version of the MX1000 lol.

What??? No more MX900 ??? the only Bluetooth listed now is a mini-type V270?

Gone before, {click here} MX900 has returned again

Glad I did not wait for their Bluetooth Laser Mouse

I can understand the problems with Bluetooth but it was a requirement for any "Cordless Mouse" for my needs.

Waited almost a year on Logitech and finally got the New Version of the IntelliMouse,
I actually gave very serious consideration to the MX900 ... and now it is gone.

I do agree that it would best for all of us if Microsoft could be 'topped' too bad Logitech could not do it in a Bluetooth Laser Mouse

For the programs I need to run, I don't even get a choice (Other than Windows)

I would say the same for Dell, but until they can be 'topped' (I did try a VAIO for one bad year) my money goes to Dell.

I encourage competition, but I must buy what works best for my operation.

I'm still holding out for the ultimate mouse, none of this nancy-boy laser crap.

Before you know it, the HID will just look you in the eye and instantly know what you want it to do

Yeah, thinking one of those backlit keyboards and the G5 corded mouse are probably how I want to go...was thinking bluetooth as a companion to a lappy with bluetooth, but for my desktop I don't mind a cord at all.

But the newer keyboards...seem to have a lot of features I don't give a crap about. The "macro buttons" might be cool to pre-program, but the things have a really high system requirement for a frikin keyboard, and for what? I don't need my keyboard counting bullets for me...when the bad guy is dead, that's how many bullets it took. Until then, I keep on shooting!

The backlit thing, like I said, could be rockage, but might begin to bug me in low light. If it turns itself off in periods of inactivity, or late at night, that would be cool.

As some of the early post mentioned (welcome to last month) maybe without looking at some of the newer offerings, we are not talking about the old stuff like the MX1000 and MX3100

Goodies that have not made it to market yet, like the MX 5000

a new notebook mouse just came out as well

There have been alot of hot deals on the MX1000 lately because of Logitech releasing these new mice soon. I would personally just get a logitech MX1000 myself since i have one and have used alot of mice and can attest to its excellent performance but thats just me .

Logitech MX G5 just came out with 2000dpi resolution.
Yeah, G5 looks good to me too. If they'd package it with a decent keyboard, I'd be sold!
