Another simple reason... It has an ATi 9800 not realy compairable to the 7800GTX in his sytem.

hehe well, to clarify your point, neither is the 6800 ultra comparable as you state. But hey the Gen2 is a decent laptop. My son has one. In a laptop like the Dell XPS Gen 1, the MR9800 which is based on X800 technology is only bested by the 6800 Ultra in laptops.. Still not bad for a 1-1/2 year old laptop. And it plays all my games at full specs, so I am happy.. The Gen2 gets about 45 mins more battery life and is approx. 1 lb. less but still runs pretty hot. The brightview is nice, as I have in another laptop right now, but my XPS still plays games great. Read Kyle's review of it at hardocp.com when the MR9800 first became available.. Anyways, good luck, there's plenty of people unloading XPS Gen 2's right now..
