Has anyone tried Mighty Mouse on a PC?

Thread Starter
I'm looking to get rid of the stock HP mouse at work, and me wants the Mighty Mouse. Though I don't know if the right click/scroll wheel will work under winbl0ws. The Apple Store genuises didn't know either.

Whoa, whoa, whoa... if the GENIUSes didn't know, how can you possibly expect us to know???? This is insane! :x

I am sure that the right click and scroll wheel will work, but I don't think you'll be able to designate what the side buttons do. Also, with the scroll wheel, I am not sure if you'll be able to scroll around the screen, but just horizontally and vertically, which is pretty much the same thing. But what I am saying isn't from experience.

I'm pretty sure it's a matter of time before someone develops a utility like MS' Intellipoint to make use of the side buttons. If there isn't something out there already.

Since you wont be able to use the supplied software (doesnt work on any OS cept Tiger) then that means all buttons will function exactly like they do on a noraml PC mouse. The side buttons will not operate.

adam on the maccast says it works

I have the mighty mouse, and I've used it on my PC. Everything works, however, you cannot customize the buttons. The two buttons work as they should, the scrolling button works, and when using the internet, the side buttons act as a "go back" button.

I just got sick of my Kensington Wireless mouse so I got me a Apple Mighty Mouse to accompany my new PB. It is great. Looks cool. If you dont have a apple I would not recommend this for your PC. You can get a optical USB mouse for a PC with much more functionality for a cheaper price. It is not worth 50 bucks for a windows machine
