Nvidia GeForce go 7800 GTX listed in Clevo Manual - Page 2

Pain, you are new here. Right now you are the third to last in reputation. Reputation is used for a few different things, to let other people know how much to listen to you for example. However it is also used to let the moderators know whether they should ban an individual. If you value posting on NBF, you will stop the personal attacks. I think you are smart enough to know what will happen otherwise.

Karma, You too are new here - it's a matter of perspective. While, I'm not sure that I agree with Pain, he did not really come off as "abusive" or posting a "personal" attack-IMHO. My advice would be for you to get a bit thinker skin and chill out. That's not a personal attack either; but if you so think, then "be hoofed".

Edit: Correct typos - Also those little colored "pips" can be accelerated/decelerated by just about anybody and really have no real relevance in the grand scheme of things. After all, I lived with one dot for many years, pissed some off, and helped many more. Such is life..... I guess I could accelerate my own ratings by using my "alter ego"; however, what would that prove - That I can?

Personal feelings aside, don't forget how Technomancer or the Equalizer started out.

Let's keep this thread on topic and with correct information.

Luke,

I smell J4Ever/RaiderRod in our midst, any thoughts?

I have a strong feeling it can manage 20 pipelines. The only question will be if 16 at a higher clockspeed are better than 20 at a slightly lower speed. That's the classic heat and power budget at work. But my bet is 20, and some moderate to decent clockspeed. The 7800GT's are doing well and consuming decent juice. Move that to a 90nm chip and I think you'll see the 7800 go ultra.

You make a great point. Considering nVidias ability to switch off sections of its chip and reduce clock speeds to reduce power, I can certainly see a 20 pipe version, although clocked lower at load than a potential 16-pipe version. Perhaps the initial version will be a 16-pipe .11u chip, and the refresh will be a 20-pipe .09u chip?
