Question for M70 Owners?

Hello, I was wondering if the hotspot/warm area on the M70 is right in the middle of the bottom(basically the memory/minipci card door area). After a few hours of gaming/graphix work.

uh.. yes, that is the hot spot on the M70. Laptop is much cooler than others though. Consider the Compaq n610c, which gets so hot it literally warps the platters of the harddrive (that's HOT!).

Or those laptop coolers you use to get those high video overclocks, 'cause I doubt your m70 is really different than everyone elses. The m70 does get warm in the middle to middle back area. It is amazingly quiet and cool otherwise, and especially if you don't have it on your actual lap then you'll thoroughly enjoy the machine.

Mine remains generally cool and quiet, but after running Eq/eq2 for 4 to 5 hours straight, its tends to get warm even with gpu fan on high.

If you have both memory modules on your M70, you really, really need to feel the bottom of your M70. It gets quite warm.

Top doesn't get warm at all though. Fans only kick in (to where they are audible) when doing something extreme for a period of time.

yeah, i have 2 gigs in mine, and that area with the bluetooth, wireless, ram and back to where it has the docking connector gets warm. Fans are as everyone says super quiet. I'd love for it to be cooler, but I can't really complain too much considering the amount of power they have crammed in there.

And I don't use it on my lap much at all.
