i6000 for $1000 flat brand new...good deal?

i just got a brand new Dell i6000 laptop for $1000 flat out the door thats brand new. basic specs on the laptop are these:

centrino, 1.6ghz, 60gig hard drive, 512mb ram, dvdrom/cd burner. sorry im not giving out those specific details on how fast everything is cuz im not too sure

just wanted to know if i got a good deal or not. any feedback is welcome. thanks.

aye, if you price out a IBM or toshiba, the price would be 1600 to 2grand, If it were an HP about 1300

i got mine for 980$, plus 100 for gig ram

so like 1080 for something thatll last a while.

is that canadian dollars?

lowest US priced for those specs I've seen brand new from dell was um...... 600 bucks.

I got mine for $750, same specs as yours except the DVD Burner, but I think you got a better screen.

Um 1499 - 750 online coupon - 2% DPA - 150 coupon (buy on ebay)

uhm, the coupons don't really work. not sure if im using it for the right laptop lol.

there are restrictions to coupons, dell has become more strict on coupons stacking now. So YMMV.

$848 for mine + $55 for an additional 512mb ram. Base screen, dvd-burner (only option at the time, I will never use it).
