MEGA Problem

My Dvd/Cd drive just dissappeared. I use the 9880. It is listed in the optical drive in BIOS but it is not in My Computer or device manager. It used to be the D: Drive. I tried system restore and find new hardware it didnt work.

There is no optical drive menu in Device manager or a DVD/Cd menu in Device manager.

Please help thanks.

Can the BIOS see it?

Try going to Administrative Options -> Computer Managment -> Disk Managment, and see if it shows up there. Sometimes Explorer loses it and is has to be reinstalled.

go to control>system>hardware>device manager>dvd/cd-rom drives. U might probably find it disabled so right click enable.
and refresh list in device manager to recheck devices.
