I wonder if this program has "spyware" viruses or whatever dangerous to one's personal identity/privacy?
Nope it doesnt, but its a file sharing program, and I believe thats all we can say or it will be against the rules here.

sadly there are no official demos for these games. which anyway is quite understandable, as none of the games are finished yet.
and as far as those leaked versions of both games go, i would say "dont try them" as they might contain viruses, and also there really is no point in trying something that is far from finished.

And they are a pain in the arse to get to work.

I have played them both, and now I wish I hadn't. Since the DOOM III leak is only an Alpha there is only 3 levels and no story line what so ever. HL2 has quite a few levels but they are all missing tons of textures and also it has no story line. Just be patient (I know its hard) and wait until the real version of both those games comes out. You don't want to ruin the experience on an incomplete beta.. trust me.

i played doom and i was just impressed with what was done, didnt ruin the game for me, it was just very cool to see where they were going with the game.

Loki - How did Doom 3 play on your M60? I ordered a Dell 8600 that'll be delivered on Wednesday. It's got the 1.7 GHz and ATI 128MB 9600 chips. I'm hoping it'll handle games like D3 and Half-Life 2 well.

doom 3 plays well on the new 51m but it runs at 640 x 480, and although it tried, admittedly not very much couldnt get it running at a higher resoloution, so screen shots wouldnt really give a good representaion of it(youre better of looking at the screen shots on the now active doom3 site.. which will give a good over all representaion of its beauty).. and by the way the new catalyst 3.10 alphas sent the shadows a little screwy .. but they are after all just alphas ..

jswriter, it ran well i guess. I mean the code wasnt optimized but it didnt run any worse than on my Geforce4 desktop. Everythings runs fine on my m60, the only thing that didnt was Halo but thats understandable.
