The reality is a twelve year old kid could not only have the same programming skill as you they could make you look like a n00b. That's why companies continue to plan to layoff IT people in the upcoming fiscal quarters. They are thinking why in the hell should I pay this person $xxx, xxx or even $xx,xxx when I can pay some person in India x,xxx to do the same exact quality work (in theory).
Even though I don't agree with off-short contracting and it's affected many of my friends, I feel this IT ego that you suffer from where you think you know everything and aren't willing to share and grow and think of money first and foremost are one factor that is making these companies lose faith and abandon hope in us. Going back to one of my previous posts, with such a mentality as yours I don't even know why you post on this forum. Under your opinions I should be paying to even talk with you!
