iPod Nano Ordered!

Well, I just ordered the new 2GB iPod Nano as soon as I saw it on tv. I purchased a black color. Anywho, which delievery service will ship my iPod Nano? UPS or Fedex?

P.S. It looks too slick for me to not buy it.

Wow, that's super sexy man. I want the 4gb version! Is it solid state at that size. It would almost have to be to be that thin...

I'd go FedEx. Usually faster. For me anyway.

All the nanos are flash memory based. They do look really sleek, but at the same time they're just too much (price) for too little (capacity). Besides, I already have a 60GB iPod photo (love that thing). I just wish Apple wasn't phasing out the iPod minis though. I was hoping the nanos would drive down mini prices a little so I could get a 4 or 8GB mini for working out and walking around campus.

I think fedex delivered my PB, so I am going to guess that fedex will deliver the ipod nano. It also depends where you live.

Also, you should take some pics of it and the packaging and share it with us. It is always nice to see Apple's wonderful packaging, lol.

Thanks for the input. 2GB is good enough for me, I don't even have 20 songs on my computer . I hope it is fedex because UPS usually arrives late in my area whenever I order things. I'll be sure to take some pix.

3 of my friends already got them...SPOILED BASTARDS!!! lol

2 of them got the white and one got the black...I like the black much more, but the finger prints and smuges can be really seen on the black...I still like the black more. Even tho its so timy and thin, it feels strong and if you dropped it, it so light that it would just float like paper!!! ITS WAY smaller than pictures show

I am still undecided about get it since I purchased a 30GB Color iPod during the beginning of summer. Maybe I should somehow break it in order to get my money's worth for purchasing an extended warranty .

My order has been shipped! iMac updated late last night. I can't wait for my new toy to arrive.

Oh yeah one more thing, iMac offer discount on all products for all CSUF students. However, I forgot about it! Anyway can I call them up and tell them that I am a student at CSUF so that they can give me my discount?

CSUF Student Price for Nano $179. Stupid me However, what is the procedure of getting the discount? Need copy of my student ID or what?

I'm thinking about getting this for my wife but I wanted to know if I have to use the I tunes store to download music? I have NEVER used a portable mp3 player so I have no idea.. What website does everyone recommend to download music. Also, if I do download music from I Tunes, will these files be compatable with my PC? Sorry such stupid questions everyone but I am a complete n00b when it somes to this.. Thanks everyone!!

Itunes is very good (try downloading the software and give the store a go)

Music files from Itunes will work on both PC's and Macs. However an Ipod formatted on a PC will not work with a Mac without reformatting and visa versa.
PC formatted iPods will work fine on Macs. Mac formatted, iPods, however, will not run on PCs without a third party driver, such as Mac Drive, installed.

I am not sure if anyone has mentioned this but the black ipod nano still comes with white headphones.

If you want to see a complete rundown of the ipod nano, check out ars technica's review: http://arstechnica.com/reviews/hardware/nano.ars/

I need a good mp3-player for running and for workouts (and for basic use as well), and the new iPod nano (the black version) really intrigues me. But I'm not too sure how durable it is. I don't mean that it should hold up heavy hits or stuff like that but as I look at the pictures, the nano seems quite delicate. My previous option, iPod Shuffle, on the other hand seems far more durable. Then again, Shuffle isn't the newest or the coolest flash-iPod anymore....
