Your LCD obviously does support 1600x1200?

You have latest nvidia drivers installed?

i have the dell widescreen 20inch which has a native res at 1680x1200 so i dont see why it wont support it. where can i get the latest driver for the 6800 ultra anyone?

www.nvidia.com

their must be a .cfg or .ini file you can edit for Doom3 to make it run at 1680x1200

Sorry, but your wrong. Native res for the Dell 2005FPW is 1680x1050. You can however alter the shortcut for Doom3 to force 1680x1050. For instance, this is from my BF2 shortcut:

"C:\Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

change the bold part for whatever res you want. And obviously point to your Doom3 directory, ect.

Or you could change the config or .ini file like someone said earlier. Both wasy should work. Use notepad to change the .cfg or .ini file. It should be pretty easy to spot where to make the change once your in there (haven't done it in a while myself).

Yeah just blaze is right...you can't do 1600x1200 because you don't have 1200 vetical pixels, your monitor only does 1680x1050...so the max standard ratio res you can run is 1280x1024

yes, blaze is right, you cant run at the res you want, its just not possible.
