standby after reformat

standby is no longer an option for me after i reformatted
what can i do to use standby again?

In the power Properties double check to see if standby is there and also enable hibernation and see if that helps

Have you downloaded and installed the Intel chipset driver? You may need this to enable standby in XP but can't say for certain as you haven't stated what machine you're talking about or what OS.

there was no option for it and i also reinstalled the driver but no luck
